cronjob script not running or working with crond

[root@linux ~]# timedatectl

cronjob works with 24 hour system

sudo nano /etc/sysconfig/crond


EXTRA_OPTS="-L 5"


sudo systemctl restart cron

sudo tail -f /var/log/cron.log


/var/spool/cron/root


vi /etc/crontab


vi /etc/sysconfig/crond


Ensure the cron facility is being logged in /etc/rsyslog.conf or /etc/rsyslog.d/50-default.conf. Look for a line like this:


cron.*    /var/log/cron.log


sudo systemctl restart rsyslog
