[Vestacp] Increase database username length limit

For so long mysql has a harcoded 16 characters length limit on username.   And vestacp enforce this limitation, every database username have to be less than 17 characters long. The problem is mysql has increase this length limit to 32 charcaters and mariadb even remove this limit completely but vestacp hasn't lift their limit yet for the sake of compatibility.   So, until this issue closed: https://github.com/serghey-rodin/vesta/issues/860, if you have mysql 5.7+ and want to make really long username, you have to change vesatacp's code. Open file  /usr/local/vesta/func/main.sh Find those line if [ 17 -le $ {# 1}]; then check_result $ E_INVALID "mysql username can be up to 16 characters long" fi Now change the number 17 to 33 and you essentially double the username length limit.

Permission denied error.log

be sure to perform in a public_html folder: CODE:  SELECT ALL find . -type f -exec chmod 644 {} \; find . -type d -exec chmod 755 {} \; chown -R user:group * of course, replace user and group to vesta username. And there must be index.php or index.html. This usually enough.

Error: Roundcube mail reinstalling in vesta cp There is a webserver with Centos 7 under the control of Vesta CP, I decided to install PHP 7 on it. vestacp 500 internel server error

Logs vestacp connect() failed (111 connection refused) while connecting to upstream check httpd is running or not systemctl start httpd if not systemctl status httpd -l if you get Invalid command 'php_admin_value' error The "php_admin_value" lines in the Apache config are specific to mod_php. That is, mod_php needs to be loaded for those to work. If you're no longer using mod_php, you'd need to remove any reference to "php_admin_value" in the Apache config... those would typically be in the .conf files in /etc/apache2/sites-enabled. Those can be commented out, and then once that's done, you'd need to restart Apache. yum install mod_php
